We are excited to share important information regarding Summer Camp 2026 registration and the camp lottery process.
Please read the details below carefully.
Camp Lottery Registration
Please note that registering your child does not guarantee a spot in camp. Registration places your child’s name into our lottery system for each week selected.
The camp lottery registration window will be open from Friday, February 20 at 9:00 am through Friday, March 6.
- Each child must be registered for each individual week they wish to attend.
- A separate lottery will be held for each week.
- There will be 175 spots available per week.
- After the registration period closes, campers will be randomly selected.
- Families will be contacted to accept or decline their spot.
- If a spot is declined, it will be offered to the next camper on the waitlist.
- Payment arrangements will be made after a spot is accepted.
Sibling Policy
If one child is selected for a week, their sibling(s) will also be selected for that same week provided each child is registered for that week.
Notification Timeline
Beginning Monday, March 9, families will be notified of their child’s lottery status. Notifications will continue as selections are finalized. Please allow us time to contact families, as this process may take several days. Our goal is to notify all families by Friday, March 13.
If you miss the lottery registration period, your child will be added to the bottom of the waitlist.
Eligibility
- Camp is open to Aberdeen residents entering 1st through 9th grade in the fall.
- Children attending the Matawan-Aberdeen School District but not residing in Aberdeen Township (Aberdeen, Cliffwood, or Cliffwood Beach) are not eligible.
- Please ensure your child’s school grade is updated in the system to reflect the grade they will enter in the fall.
Camp Location and Schedule
Camp is parent/guardian drop-off and pick-up only and will be held at Matawan Aberdeen Middle School, with some outdoor activities at Guisti Park.
Weekly Camp Schedule and Cost
Week 1: June 29 – July 2 (No camp Friday, July 3), 9:00 am–4:00 pm, $195
Week 2: July 6 – July 10, 9:00 am–4:00 pm, $245
Week 3: July 13 – July 17, 9:00 am–4:00 pm, $245
Week 4: July 20 – July 24, 9:00 am–4:00 pm, $245
Week 5: July 27 – July 31, 9:00 am–4:00 pm, $245
Week 6: August 3 – August 7, 9:00 am–4:00 pm, $245
Camp registration fees include all trips, activities, tickets, transportation, and rentals. A detailed weekly schedule will be provided prior to the start of camp.
Trips and Activities
We know that some families like to register for specific weeks based on the trips offered. At this time, not all trips have been finalized, but we will update the schedule as trips are confirmed. We do anticipate adding an additional trips each week this year.
Other activities, shows, and vendors will be planned including tie-dye, Christmas in July, candy bar bingo, egg drop, relay races, theme days, kickball, arts and crafts, bracelet making, and more. Please note that all activities are subject to change due to weather or scheduling conflicts.
All required camp paperwork must be completed before camp begins. Camp paperwork will be available after the lottery.
Before and After Care
Before Care: 8:00–9:00 am — $15 per week
After Care: 4:00–5:00 pm — $15 per week
Registration for before and after care will open at a later date and is available to all paid campers.
