Barre
Barre

Barre is a low-impact, full-body workout rooted in the original methods of Lotte Berk and inspired by the strength, grace, and precision of ballet training. This class blends functional strength exercises, balance work, core conditioning, and mindful movement to build strength, endurance, flexibility, and body awareness. Using small, controlled movements and a focus on proper alignment, participants will challenge muscles in a safe and effective way while improving posture and stability. Each class offers a supportive, welcoming environment with options for a variety of fitness levels, making it accessible to both beginners and experienced exercisers. A 9” Pilates ball is strongly recommended for class.

Highmark and MVP insurances can be used to cover class costs. Contact Cox@nycap.rr.com for insurance details

STRONG NATION+ WEIGHTS
STRONG NATION+ WEIGHTS

STRONG Nation® with Weights supercharges the traditional beat-driven HIIT experience by adding weighted resistance. Syncing explosive movements to original music, this hybrid workout drives a massive calorie burn, builds lean muscle, and boosts coordination—all in a single high-energy session. Why You Should Sign Up for STRONG Nation with Weights:
1. Faster Toning and Muscle Definition: Traditional STRONG Nation is an incredible bodyweight workout, but adding dumbbells introduces the external resistance necessary for true muscle hypertrophy. This targeted sculpting ensures your arms, back, core, and glutes tone up faster than with bodyweight exercises alone.
2. The Power of ”Synced” Strength: Instead of blindly counting reps, every movement, squat, and lunge is perfectly matched to custom-engineered music. The beat serves as your ultimate motivator, pushing you through tough intervals and helping you maximize the ”afterburn” effect to keep torching fat long after the class ends.
3. Ultimate Hybrid Training: By fusing explosive cardio (plyometrics) with controlled, weighted muscle conditioning, you get the absolute best of both worlds. You improve cardiovascular stamina while simultaneously boosting your total-body strength, agility, and balance.
4. Serious Long-Term Health Benefits: Beyond just looking great, consistent strength training is proven to boost bone density, improve joint health, and increase your metabolism. Building muscle through this dynamic format is one of the best ways to protect your body from injury and ensure long-term, functional independence.
5. It is Highly Addictive and Fun. Let’s face it: traditional weightlifting can sometimes feel repetitive. STRONG Nation with Weights eliminates the boredom of standard gym routines. The exhilarating music, the supportive group atmosphere, and the seamless transitions make the hardest parts of your workout incredibly fun and deeply satisfying.
Come prepared with the following: Cross-Trainer Sneakers, Mat, Gloves (Optional for floor exercises), Towel, and water (We have some light weights up to 5 lbs.; you can bring your own if you wish to go heavier)
