Let your little artist’s imagination run wild! In this fun and hands-on art workshop, children ages 4–5 will explore the colorful world of painting through age-appropriate activities. From finger painting to brush techniques, kids will get messy, creative, and confident as they learn to express themselves through art. All materials are provided—just bring your creativity and a paint shirt!

Join us for a fun-filled Canoe Adventure designed just for kids! Young explorers will paddle along the calm, scenic waters of Lake Waccamaw, one of North Carolina’s most unique natural treasures. Guided by experienced park staff, children will learn basic canoeing skills, discover local wildlife, and enjoy the beauty of the lake up close.

Join us for a fun-filled Youth Fishing Day designed to introduce kids ages 4–12 to the joys of fishing! This event provides a safe and supportive environment where young anglers can learn basic fishing skills, enjoy time outdoors, and maybe even catch their first fish. Fishing poles are not required but suggested if available to bring, bait will be provided. No previous experience required, we will give instructions! Parents/guardians are required to stay and assist their little fishers. Prizes and giveaways will be awarded throughout the event.
