The Lake Waccamaw State Park Friends, Columbus County Parks and Recreation and NC State Park Friends are sponsoring a FREE Swim Clinic for ages 6-12 this summer. The 3-DAY clinic will run from June 17-19 (Tuesday - Thursday) and will meet for 2 hours each day from 9:00 am - 11:00 am at the Waccamaw Sailing Club at Lake Waccamaw. Participants should plan to attend ALL three-day sessions and will learn basic swim skills and water safety. Our experienced instructors are committed to helping children learn to swim in a safe and supportive environment.

Join us for a fun-filled Youth Fishing Day designed to introduce kids ages 4–12 to the joys of fishing! This event provides a safe and supportive environment where young anglers can learn basic fishing skills, enjoy time outdoors, and maybe even catch their first fish. Fishing poles are not required but suggested if available to bring, bait will be provided. No previous experience required, we will give instructions! Parents/guardians are required to stay and assist their little fishers. Prizes and giveaways will be awarded throughout the event.
