The Frostburg Parks & Recreation Department offers a Maryland state licensed Summer Day Camp on Monday - Friday during the summer for children ages 5-12 y/o.  This year's day camp is currently scheduled for weekdays from 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday, June 15th – Friday, August 7th of 2026. We also have an early drop-off (7:30-8am) and late pick up (4-4:30pm) option for an additional fee (listed below).  Children DO NOT have to be residents of Frostburg to register. Paper copies of the registration form are available at City Hall. Registration forms will not be accepted prior to April 1, 2026.  

This year's camp will operate in Community Park at the Frostburg Child Development Center (202 South Water Street) next to the Frostburg Pool bathhouse. This year's camp offers a wide variety of activities including, arts & crafts, swimming, outdoor games, free play, and field trips. Field trips are typically taken weekly throughout the summer. Trips are all located within walking distance from the camp location. Camp directors and most of daily staff are professional educators with university student education majors on staff as well.  Campers typically visit the City Place Farmer's Market, FSU planetarium, the Frostburg fire department and City police department, and various local businesses to sample their products and learn what they do everyday. They also take part in the annual "Pirate's Ahoy" children's event at City Place in July.

The Summer Day Camp Program is designed to nurture the overall development of the child. We fully expect to create an environment in which each camper will derive physical, mental, emotional, and social benefits from their camp participation. Our goal is to leave each individual camper with positive memories that will last a lifetime.

Camp Days/Hours: 

• Weekdays from June 15th - Fri, Aug 7th
• Monday - Friday,  8:00am - 4:00pm - $26/day or $130/week   *No camp on Fri, July 3rd and Mon, July 6th.
