  -Sein of Yarn (120 Yards)

Join us Saturday, April 27th from 10a-11:30a at no cost, for a Double Dutch Interest Class. We will be using this class to gage interest for a possible 18+ year old program here at the REC!

Meet our instructor, Jeremy Torres!

Jeremy knows exactly who he is, and it comes across loud and clear in his artistry. The New York-born Puerto Rican-American singer,
songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist merges Latin, pop, rock, and island stylings into an ever-evolving vision informed by his journey so far. He asserts himself as a dynamic force for Latin music and culture with massive hooks and a rare ability to effortlessly rotate between instruments and produce. At the same time, he stands out as a charismatic performer
who lights up any and every stage.

He’s on a fast track to superstardom independently and on his own terms. Opting to drop out of college, the Middletown, NY native wholeheartedly committed himself to music, writing and recording at a feverish pace. He
caught the attention of GRAMMY® Award-winning icon, Fugees Co-Founder, and pioneer Wyclef Jean. Among many collaborations, Jeremy duetted with the legend and Moira Mack on “Demons Enjoy” from 2019’s Wyclef Goes Back To School Vol. 1. He accompanied Wyclef on a string of high-profile performances as well, including MTV Push Live, The Steve Harvey Show, NPR Tiny Desk Concert, and Jam In The Van at SXSW. Their collaboration continued in the studio when Wyclef produced Jeremy’s 2021 solo debut, Tiempos Como Estos. Following millions of
streams and looks courtesy of Billboard, People, and more, Jeremy doesn't plan on slowing down anytime soon with new music on the way all 2024!

Youth are invited to join us for an evening of fun, play and pizza on Saturday, May 4th from 5p-8p.
If child is not picked up by 8p, a $25 late fee may be presented. 

You must pre-register for this program, space is limited. The cost is $10 per child.
Youth currently enrolled in grades K through 5th grade are welcomed to attend. 

Parents/caregivers are invited to use this time to explore our downtown businesses and restaurants for specials and festivities. A flyer listing such specials and festivities will be provided at drop-off. 

Join the Middletown Rec staff and BID business owner, Cheryl, for a *FREE* piñata making class! Participants will work together to construct multiple piñatas to be on display at participating downtown businesses and restaurants for Cinco de Mayo weekend. 

Classes will be split into TWO days, Thursday, April 25 and Thursday, May 2 from 5:00p-6:30p at the Middletown Recreation Campus located at 393 County Route 78. This program is for youth 6-12 years old. Must pre-register.
