Bring you Haunted Gingerbread House to the Oak Island Recreation Center to be displayed and judged. Judging will take place on October 24, 2024. Drop Off day is Monday, October 21, 2024 between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Houses will need to be picked up Tuesday, October 29, 2024 by 2:00 PM. The winners will be given an award. Paint your own pumpkin and bring it to the Recreation Center to be judged for a prize! The Oak Island Recreation Department will award First, Second, and Third Place prizes for the best painted pumpkins. Drop off day is Monday, October 21, between 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. This is a dance for Fathers and Daughters. Spend some time with your little girl and bring her to this magical dance. Share your love of reading with other members of your community will Oak Island Recreation Department’s first book club. “Between The Lines” will feature a new book each month for participants to dive into tantalizing discussion as we navigate through a variety of genres. Bring your book, and a chair, as we meet at different parks throughout Oak Island (We will move indoors in the event of inclement weather). Light refreshments will be served. Participants are responsible for purchasing their own copy of their book with pre-registration required. "Between the Lines" will meet monthly from 2:00 -3:00 PM at TBA locations. Spaces are limited to be sure to reserve your seat today!
