Join Oak Island Recreation for our Youth Sports Clinic series! These clinics are two hour sessions that will take place on a monthly basis, with the goal of providing opportunities for kids aged 6-12 to try a new sport, learn more about the sport, and meet other kids interested in them as well! The cost of this program is $25 for residents and $30 for non-residents. The locations of these clinics will typically take place at Bill Smith Park (4446 Fish Factory Rd SE, Southport, NC 28461), except for basketball clinics which will take place at Middleton Park Complex (102 SE 47th St, Oak Island, NC 28465). Please note that each participant must have a completed activity waiver as a part of sign up. Additionally, from May - August, the programs will be on hiatus to accommodate for our athletic and summer camps, as well as our other summertime programming.

Join Oak Island Parks & Recreation and Foundation Sports Clinics for Field Hockey Clinics at the Middleton Park Complex! These clinics act as great way to learn the sport of Field Hockey and see if it’s the right fit, as well as expand skills for those who have played before. Foundation Sports Clinics offers experienced coaches who can work to establish and improve skills for beginner and intermediate players. We do ask that parents are present during program times to ensure high quality programming throughout the session. We look forward to seeing you on the fields!

The Oak Island Pickleball Academy is a weekly program, with lessons lasting one hour per day throughout the week, held in the Middleton Park Complex Racquet Courts at 102 SE 47th St. The minimum age for each session is 12 years old, with all ages older than that accepted. Each session must have a minimum of 2 participants to be completed. We look forward to seeing you on the courts!

Cost: $100 program fee

Session Times:

• Session 1: 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM
• Session 2: 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
• Session 3: 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Notice: Week 1 is no longer listed due to personal matters that have caused a conflict. Another opportunity will be listed for an alternative time during the summer pending availability of the instructor. Thank you for your understanding.

The Oak Island Tennis Academy is a weekly tennis program, with our program lessons lasting one hour a day throughout the week, held in the Middleton Park Complex Racquet Courts at 102 SE 47th St. The minimum age required is 7 years old, with the maximum age being 11 years old. For each session, a minimum of 2 participants must be registered. We look forward to seeing you on the courts!

Cost: $75 program fee
