Oak Island’s coastal conservation sites are teaming up with Coastal Watercolor & Photography LLC to bring inspiration and beauty to life in a brand new art class for coastal residents and guests. Perfect for aspiring artists from ages 6-100, these classes are designed to be fun focused for friends and neighbors. Each class will be held for approximately 3 hours with participants completing a different masterpiece each time. Class offerings will be held outside at the Oak Island Nature Center which overlooks the Intracoastal Waterway!

Pre-registration is required. To register please visit www.OakIslandNC.gov/EVENTS. Not eligible for refunds, transfers or credits.

Free to attend it’s a great way to spend time with friends and members of your social circle. Walking locations will rotate between Middleton Park, Bill Smith Park, Oak Island Recreation Center, as well as an off island destination on the 4th Friday of each month. For those who wish to catch a ride to our destination locations, pre-registration will be required due to limited seats. Join Oak Island Recreation Department at the Oak Island Cabana, located at the corner of SE 46th Street and E. Beach Drive, for Story Time by the Sea!  This free series invites participants ages 12 - Under to enjoy a coastal themed story reading, followed by an arts & crafts project to take home.  Engaging stories set to the backdrop of breathtaking views make for the perfect way to spend time together as a family!  Pre-registration required.  Free Program.
