Family Fastbreak — Intro to Basketball (Ages 3–5 / Kindergarten)

Family Fastbreak is a fun, introductory basketball program designed for young athletes and their families. Open to children ages 3–5  this program helps participants build confidence and learn the basics of basketball through engaging, age-appropriate activities.

All participants MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian, making Family Fastbreak a great opportunity for shared play and skill-building. Sessions include simple basketball fundamentals along with playful obstacles—such as slides, tunnels, and other interactive stations—to keep learning active and enjoyable.

This long-running program has been successfully led by Dave Baker for over 20 years, helping countless families enjoy their first steps into the sport together.

Led by lifelong volunteer Dave Baker and supported by dedicated high school volunteers, this program offers a welcoming and encouraging environment for every family.

Join us for a high-energy, family-focused start to your child’s basketball journey!

2nd Grade Instructional Basketball Program

Our 2nd Grade Instructional Basketball Program introduces young athletes to the fundamentals of the game in a fun, supportive environment. Participants are divided into smaller groups to ensure plenty of individual attention, skill development, and active gameplay. Each session focuses on essential basketball skills—such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork—while helping players build confidence and a love for the game.

To maintain a focused learning environment, no parents or guardians are allowed in the gym during sessions. However, families are warmly invited to attend the final day, when players will participate in a series of friendly games to showcase what they’ve learned.

The program is led by longtime volunteer Dave Baker, along with dedicated high school student volunteers who help guide and encourage participants throughout the season.
