JOIN THE WALDWICK SWIM TEAM - Practice begins Monday, June 24
The Waldwick Municipal Pool's competitive Swim Team is a great way to have fun, get exercise and meet new friends.
ELIGIBILITY
Competitive Swim Team Participants must be 2024 Waldwick Municipal Pool members, between the ages of 5 and 18 (school age K-12) and able to swim the length of a twenty-five yard pool.
Swim Practice starts Monday, June 24 and times will vary based on age groups and enrollment numbers. During the initial practice, the Head Coach will conduct a skills eligibility assessment and a short Parents Meet & Greet during your swimmer's practice group.
Practices are held Monday - Thursday in Practice groups scheduled as follows:
Ages 5-6
8:15 am - 8:45 am
Ages 7-8 and 9-10
8:15 am - 9:00 am
Ages 11-12, 13-14 and up
8:45 am - 9:45 am
PARENTAL COMMITMENT
- Attend a mandatory Parent Meeting on Monday, June 24th at 8:45 am. Bring your child's completed Medical Release form to this meeting.
- Annual Registration fee.
- Selection to Opt In or Opt Out Annual Service Option. If you Opt Out, a $50.00 per child fee will be added.
- Completion of Medical Release form. Click HERE to download the Medical Release form, fill it out, and physically bring it to the first practice.
- Get swimmers to practices and meets on time.
- Help with year-end team party.
SWIMMERS COMMITMENT
- Should attend Team Practices.
- 6 League-sponsored meets.
- Meets begin in early July and generally occur twice a week.
- All meets follow the same format.
FINANCIAL COMMITMENT
- Fees are $90 per swimmer; $75 for a second swimmer; $190 per family maximum (for those with more than 2 swimmers).
- Swimmers must purchase their own goggles, swim caps and swimsuits.
- Swimmers will receive a t-shirt only.
