Just in time for the festive season, join us to create a vibrant 3D star ornament! You’ll learn how to layer and blend rich, oil-based Polychromos pencils on toned gray paper to achieve depth and dimension. All supplies will be provided.

Basic Block Printing - Holiday Cards Edition

Saturday December 5  1-4pm

Join us for this workshop where we will hand print cards for the coming holiday season!  We will review the basics of block printing, including preparing designs, carving blocks, and exploring color choices, before printing with water-based inks on paper.  Our cards will be sized 5.5 x 4.25”, which will fit in standard, invitation-sized envelopes.

Instructor will demonstrate all phases of this project as we go, including how to safely  use carving tools.  You will leave the session with your printed cards and carved blocks.   This class is perfect for beginners, as well as those with printmaking experience.  All  materials, with the exception of envelopes, will be provided by the instructor.  We will  be using non-toxic, water-based inks and non-latex, 4x6” carving blocks.  Please bring  simple sketches or photos of objects to use as reference for your image(s).  Printmaking  is a messy process, so bring an apron or wear old clothing!

 Creative Kids Art with Ms. Diane

Ms. Diane invites children ages 7–12 to explore their creativity through fun, hands-on art experiences!

With years of experience as an art teacher, Ms. Diane creates an exciting program where children can learn new artistic skills while developing their own creativity and individual style.

Children will explore drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, texture, pattern, clay, and more, while learning about artists and different styles of art. Each project combines guided instruction with creative freedom, allowing every child to create artwork that is uniquely their own.

Creative Kids Art with Ms. Diane is an opportunity to learn, create, build confidence, and have fun with art!

The program will be offered in two sessions. A Winter Art Show will be held at the end of both sessions, giving children the opportunity to display and celebrate their artwork with family and friends.

Class size is limited to 15 students. A second class from 5:30–6:30 PM will also be offered if there is enough demand.

Winter 1: Nov 9, 16, 23, 30, Dec 7, 14 Time: 4:15-5:15

All participants will be provided two scalloped seashells. A variety of design printed napkins
will be offered along with any personal napkins provided by individual participant. Shells will
be finished with treasure gold paint trim and pearl for a beautiful jewelry holder, candy dish
or hanging ornament. All supplies provided.

Nourish your natural creativity with pumpkins, natures flora and all- natural glue. This environmentally conscious workshop taps into sustainable creativity. Utilizing nature as our medium. A fun and analogous welcoming to the fall season. Your pumpkin can be left outside for the animal to nibble while also enjoying it as a decorative art piece. All supplies and 1 pumpkin will be provided
