This camp is designed to develop basic skills and strategies through targeted instruction, drills, and competitive games while developing confidence and an appreciation for the game of basketball.  Focus will be on improving a player’s overall performance level.

 

The camp is under the direction of the Metuchen High School Girls Basketball Program.  Assistant Coach Drew Bandola will be the Camp Director and Head Coach Kathy Glutz will serve as the main Clinician.  Members of the MHS GBB team will work as camp counselors.

Track & Field Camp
Track & Field Camp

Campers, entering grades 3 - 8, will experience what the sport of track and field is all about by participating in a variety of individual and team events :  55m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 4x55m, 4x100m, hurdles, long jump, triple jump, shotput, and discus.  All times and distances will be recorded throughout the week and printed out at the end.  Individuals will be instructed on the technical aspects of the sport as well as be schooled on " the ins and outs" of the sport.  Campers will form bonds through competition, teamwork, respect and the love of the sport.  Campers need to wear comfortable shoes and running clothes and bring a water bottle, packed snack/lunch, sunscreen, drawstring bag or backpack to hold belongings.

Bulldog Soccer Camp
Bulldog Soccer Camp

The focus will be to improve and enhance the basic skills needed by young players to advance their level of play. Small sided games will help to develop better ball skills, confidence in their ability and better appreciation for the game of soccer.  Camp will include technical and fitness training, tactics, match play and field assessment.  Under the direction of Ken Graf and Mike Knoth.

Field Hockey Camp
Field Hockey Camp

This camp is designed for players of all levels of experience.  For those interested in exploring the sport of field hockey, we will teach basic skills and provide overall knowledge of the game.  We will offer instruction in basic skills, stick control, ball handling, and sportsmanship.  This camp will be held Monday through Friday.  Field hockey stick, shin guards, and mouth guard are required."
