The mission of New Paltz Youth Basketball is to foster the development of young athletes by teaching the fundamental skills of basketball in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. We aim to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship, while encouraging positive character development both on and off the court. Our program strives to inspire a love for the game, while building strong connections within our community.

New Paltz Youth Football is part of the Mid-Hudson Youth Football League and is run by New Paltz Varsity Football coach Kyle Jansen. The NP Youth Football program is focused on player development, proper technique and safety! 
 
The league plays a full season, August through November, with playoffs and a championship.
  
The league is broken into two divisions
- Junior Division, age 7-9
- Senior Division, age 10-12

New Paltz Youth Lacrosse (NPYL) joins USA Lacrosse in supporting positive coaching and good sportsmanship throughout the spirit and sport of lacrosse. NPYL is committed to the preservation of the true meaning of “Honor the Game” for all those who enjoy the sport. To fulfill this commitment, all players, coaches, officials, parents and spectators are required to abide by a Code of Conduct that embodies basic common-sense principles; demonstrates consideration of others; and projects a positive image to our youth as well as men and women of all ages participating in the sport. 
 

NPYL seeks to make the sport of lacrosse available and accessible to all boys and girls who wish to play in the New Paltz community. We offer playing opportunities throughout the year with the spring being the regular season:

Spring (Regular Season): Registration runs January – March with the season beginning in April

  • Grades K-2: Co-Ed Clinics & Small-Sided Games (practices on Saturday or Sunday)
  • Grades 3-4: Boys and Girls Teams (1-2 mid-week practices & games on Saturdays)
  • Grades 5-6: Boys and Girls Teams (1-2 mid-week practices & games on Saturdays)

Fall Clinic (Introductory and Free)

  • Geared towards new and inexperienced players, with experienced players welcomed
  • Three practices offered to grades K-8 taking place on a Saturday or Sunday in October and/or November.
  • No experience necessary and equipment is provided!

Our youth travel team, FireWolves FC, holds practices on Tuesdays and Sundays and has five tournament weekends scheduled – including the inaugural NY Middle School State Championships hosted by us in New Paltz.

FireWolves Spring Practice Schedule (Open practices until early May)

Tuesdays 5:30-7:00 @ NP High School

Sundays (when no game) beginning 3/22 @ 4pm at Middle School Fields

TRY-IT-OUTS: GRADES 5-8

Know a kid who wants to try out ultimate? Run around? Have some fun? Come out to TRY-IT-OUT: April 12, 4pm at the Middle School fields. No experience necessary. Kids will receive a free disc
