This program will allow children to actively participate in supervised playground games, activities and crafts. Participants must have completed Kindergarten.  Please register for the park of your choice either Town Place or Meadowlakes. Participants can only attend the park they are registered under and can only register at one park .  Program runs from June 30th  to August 8th  12:30 pm to 3:45 pm  Sneakers must be worn  No Program July 4th. Cost is $85 for summer

Archery Instruction

Participants will learn basic Archery skills with an emphasis on safety. There are two levels beginners and advanced beginners. Equipment will be provided for each participant but participants may bring their own up to 35lb draw weight.   Cost is $16 for the week Meet at Main Street park     Program is July 7 to July 10    Rain Date July 11

Arts for Learning Summer 2025

This Creative Family Programming initiative celebrates the vibrant art scene of Western New York by partnering with talented teaching artists and cultural partners. Its goal is to make diverse and enriching arts experience accessible to everyone. The programs presented are designed to ignite conversation about cultural heritage, race, and history, and are inclusive to all ages. Each event features hands-on workshops and/or performances, fostering creativity and dialogue. All programming will be offered free to the public in the Town of Clarence, ensuring every member of the community can participate and benefit.

BABYSITTER TRAINING COURSE
BABYSITTER TRAINING COURSE

Taking care of young children is an important responsibility!  This course can help you learn what you need to know to be the best and most responsible babysitter you can be.  Participants will learn about the business of babysitting, how to care for infants and toddlers and several first aid skills.  Each student receives a babysitter manual to take home.  A certificate of completion from the Red Cross will be provided after conclusion of the class.  Please bring a lunch and drink.

Back2Basics Summer 2025
Back2Basics Summer 2025

Back2Basics is a 6-week program designed to educate elementary-age youth on how to develop resilience skills and coping mechanisms that enable them to work through tough situations in a healthy way. This program does not use drug-related language in any capacity and focuses on the skills needed in future situations where substances could be present.  Each week, the youth will focus on one of the resiliency themes through age-appropriate discussion, activities, and play to foster a meaningful understanding and application of these skills. 

Back2Basics will focus on the following themes:

  • Introduction & Overview
  • Resiliency
  • Self-esteem
  • Communication/Teamwork
  • Understanding Emotions
  • Problem Solving/Coping Skills

BASIC FIRST AID FOR CHILDREN
BASIC FIRST AID FOR CHILDREN

This course is designed for children ages 6-14. The course will cover basic first aid skills including: scene safety, use of personal protective equipment, treatment of burns, cuts, sprains, breathing emergencies, treatment of bee stings and insect bites and more! Students will receive a certificate of completion and a compact first aid kit.  If taken with Home Alone Safety Course, a discounted rate is given.  Register for COMBO if taking both.

Clay Sculpting Summer 2025
Clay Sculpting Summer 2025

Want to learn the art of clay sculpting? Join us at the Youth Bureau where participants will learn how to mold wire and use tin foil to create a shape/ body for their air-dry clay creations.  Once created they can use their clay and our clay sculpting tools to add texture, features, and designs.  All creations will be coated with a clear or matt protection coat at end of class. This program is offered twice over the summer, one session is in July and one session is in August. Both sessions are the exact same. ALL SUPPLIES PROVIDED
