Spend the week with Oak Island’s public safety teams! Filled with hands-on elements such as fire safety, CPR training, thermal imaging cameras, and water rescue techniques; this camp is perfect for aspiring adventure seekers. Led by Oak Island Fire Department, campers will also enjoy a behind the scenes look into daily life at departments including fire, law enforcement, water rescue, emergency medical response teams and more. Due to the physical nature of the activities held at camp each day, participants need to wear comfortable clothing and closed toed/ non-slip shoes such as tennis shoes. Lunch is provided, though allergy needs must be indicated at the time of registration. For questions or more information please reach out to OKI Fire Department’s, Samantha Lafauve at slefauve@oakislandnc.gov or OKI Recreation Department’s John Henry Lafferty, at jhenry@oakislandnc.gov
