Join Oak Island Recreation Department for our 2026 Excursions! We plan to travel to various different places, with trips to various museums, attractions, and beautiful natural areas. These excursion are a great way to meet new people in the community and make some great connections over the places we intend to visit. Each different excursion will be listed as an individual session, so you are able to go ahead and plan out for the ones you would like to register for! Join Oak Island Recreation for our Youth Sports Clinic series! These clinics are two hour sessions that will take place on a monthly basis, with the goal of providing opportunities for kids aged 6-12 to try a new sport, learn more about the sport, and meet other kids interested in them as well! The cost of this program is $25 for residents and $30 for non-residents. The locations of these clinics will typically take place at Bill Smith Park (4446 Fish Factory Rd SE, Southport, NC 28461), except for basketball clinics which will take place at Middleton Park Complex (102 SE 47th St, Oak Island, NC 28465). Please note that each participant must have a completed activity waiver as a part of sign up. Additionally, from May - August, the programs will be on hiatus to accommodate for our athletic and summer camps, as well as our other summertime programming.

Games will take place weekly (April 9 - May 14) on Tuesdays from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Snacks, alcohol, and merchandise will all be available for purchase at league matches, courtesy of the Oak Island Loggerheads. Games will be officiated by recreation staff and will follow the rules and procedures that you can find listed on our registration page.
