Town of Oak Island’s Community Resource Center is a congregate nutrition program and senior center where individuals 60 and over can come to enjoy a well-balanced hot nutritional meal.  Individuals from Oak Island and the surrounding towns can participate in the programs, you do not have to be a resident; however, if you do not drive and require transportation you must live on the island.  Individuals can also enjoy some social/recreation (bingo, rummikub, etc.)  while attending the site from 10:00 to 2:00 (we do have special programs that are listed on our monthly calendar

Excursion - Enchanted Airlie
Excursion - Enchanted Airlie

Join Oak Island Recreation's holiday excursion to the Enchanted Airlie experience at Airlie Gardens. Here we will enjoy a self guided tour of the entire grounds lit up with Christmas lights and holiday cheer. The Enchanted Airlie experience is one that has been lauded in the community since its creation so this is an excursion you will not want to miss! The time of this excursion is from 4:00 PM - 7:30 PM with the lights tour taking place from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM.
